The first (kinda) day of class

I say kinda in the title because my samurai class started early last Friday since the final Friday of our stay here for the semester is the sayonara party.

There isn't much to say since I spent most of the day in class. Only that 3 hour long classes are incredibly hard to sit through. Considering the typical amount of travelling a Japanese person has to do, it makes sense to bundle the class from an entire week into one day. Asking a professor to ride the train an hour into the city, stay for an hour to teach class, and ride an hour back just isn't right. Most of the profs also have other classes to teach at other campuses. So they followed the Japanese way of having class. 3 hours a day, 1 day a week. Except for Japanese class, which is 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. It's a 10 hour credit course. It'll be a hard thing to get used to.

I basically went home right after my second class (Economy of Japan), had dinner, and have been putzing around on the computer procrastinating on Japanese homework. I am also hoping to catch Skylar before he leaves for work.

Better study for the kanji quiz tomorrow. :/
